<< part one, questions to think on >>
August 09, 2006, 8:45 am

This is part one of a two part series. on This page there are two groups of questions to make you think, which i will attempt to answer in an attempt to get my love of writing going again.

401. a)Would you be willing to commit perjury in court for a close friend? b)What if your lie would save his life?

a) That depends on how close a friend, and what they did. For a really close friend, defiantly. b) I'd like to say yes, because I'm not a big capitol punishment fan, but if it was a matter of life or death they probably did something really awful...however, if I really believed they were innocent, but they just couldn't prove it, i'd lie for them in a second to save their life. yes.

402. Would you be willing to eat a bowl of live crickets for $40,000?

I'd be willing, but I don't think I could actually do it. I guess it really comes down to, how big a bowl? a big mixing bowl? not a chance in hell. a cereal bowl? I'd give 'er a shot.

403. Would you be willing to give up sex for five years if you could have wonderfully sensual and erotic dreams whenever you wished?

No. I mean, i could give up sex for 5 year, for a good reason, without issue(I like sex, but I could go without it if I wanted to), but I don't like erotic dreams. They make me feel uneasy. I don't really know why. It's not that I think they're wrong or dirty(well, they are dirty, but I don't necessary think that’s a bad thing) or what have you, but after I have erotic dreams, i just feel...uneasy. I don't know.

404. Would you be willing to give up sex for one year if you knew it would give you a much deeper sense of peace than you have now?

Defenatly. That sounds like a good deal. Although my boyfriend may not agree.

405. Assuming that complete recovery were instantaneous, would you be willing to accept a year of total paralysis below the neck to prevent the otherwise certain extinction of a species of animal?

No. and if you've just lost all respect for me for selfishness, so be it. from the neck down means a year of someone else changing my diapers, and that's not something I'd be willing to choose voluntarily.

406. Would you be willing to have horrible nightmares every night for a year if you would be rewarded with extraordinary wealth?

Sure. Sounds like a sweet deal. one year is not that long. and I don't sleep well anyway because of strange dreams, and wake up tired all the time because of this, so I might as well exchange strange and no money for it, for horrible and lots of money.

407. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 5 years to become extremely attractive? 10 years? 15 years?

yes, no and no.

408. Would you enjoy spending a month of solitude in a beautiful natural setting? Food and shelter would be provided but you would not see another person.

phew, good question. I'd love to say yes, as long as I had several (at least 4) good (decent length) books. But a month without any sort of human contact? I know I could do two weeks, but a month? I don't know that I wouldn't go crazy, never to recover. I'm the first to say that I hate people, all of them, but it's a lie. I'm just annoyed easily by people, because of all the stupid and/or rude assholes that I deal with in my daily life. I really like most people that I meet, most of the time. And I like my alone time, but I also like hanging out with people, having a few drinks or whatever. Lets say, i'd give it a shot, if I had some sort of panic button so that if I started to go insane with loneliness, I could push it and be all, get me the hell out of here.

409. Would you generally rather be overdressed or underdressed at a party?

I'd much much rather be overdressed. I hate being underdressed for events, it drives me crazy.

410. If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else currently living, would you do so? Whom would you pick?

Nah, i wouldn't do it. I mean, there are all kind of parts of my body that I'd love to change, but I still like being me. I just wish I had the willpower to be everything I know I could be.

411. Would you have one of your fingers surgically removed if it guaranteed immunity from all major diseases?

only a pinky finger. I mean, at least all the fingers that would be left would be in a row, ya know? no annoying gaps between fingers. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

412. Have you ever been sexually attracted to a family member or a person of an inappropriate age? How did you deal with it?

Never. and I'm not lying because I'm embarrass. I've really never been sexually attracted to anyone in either of those two groups. sorry for the lack of scandalous response.

413. Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it?

yes, and I didn't feel bad about it.

414. Would you like to have a child much more intelligent and attractive than yourself?

Yes, because intelligence and beauty can bring great opportunities, and I would want my child to be as happy and successful as possible. If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose intelligence, hands down, because there is so much more to do with an amazing mind then with amazing beauty, but I've found that a combination of beauty and smarts can be a powerful force that is almost unstoppable.

415. If you could have one superpower, which would you choose?

I'd have the ability to fly, because it's faster then walking and less annoying then driving.

416. What was the most recent movie that made you cry?

pass. aka i don’t remember. I cry at a lot of movies(hell, i almost cry at tv shows sometimes...shut-up), but I can't think of any recent ones.

417. What famous person do other people tell you that you most resemble?

no one ever tells me that i resemble famous people...they tell me I look just like their sister, or their childhood/high school best friend, or some girl they met once, but never famous people.

418. What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

uh.....really, nothing comes to mind.

419. If you could bring one character to life from your favorite book, who would it be?

Zaphod Beeblebrox. I mean, he's kinda a jerk, but he has some wild adventures, and some good stories. and in the immortal words of ani difranco, "I've got a thing for assholes who tell good stories...".

420. Do you believe honesty is the best policy?

Sometimes.

421. What vegetable do you most resemble?

a potato...you know, kinda lumpy.

422. What dead person would you least want to be haunted by?

Julia Child....i mean, ghosts can't cook, right? and other then that, she was pretty creepy.

423. Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with? Least like?

Most: Ok, I'm going to sound like a star-struck teenage girl here, but Wentworth Miller. because, seriously? he's beautiful. I hear he's super smart too, but really? who cares? He's beautiful.
Least: Regis Philbin. God I hate him.

ps: I don't know what the numbers mean.
